1. what are the two major components of the computer system?
= The two major components of the computer system are hardware and software.

2. what is computer hardware?
= computer hardware is the physical parts of the computer system that we can touch or feel.
for example keyboard, mouse, monitor, printer, hard disk, motherboard, etc.

3. what is computer software?
= computer software is parts of the computer system that we cannot touch or feel.
for example, Windows XP, Android, LINUX, YouTube, google chrome, windows 10, TikTok, Facebook, messenger, etc.

4. what are the types of computer hardware?
= There are four types of computer hardware and they are
1. input hardware
2. processing hardware
3. output hardware
4. memory and storage hardware.

5. what is input hardware?
= the parts of the computer used to give input to the computer are called input hardware.
for example mouse, keyboard, microphone, webcam, light pen, touch pad, touch screen, joystick, etc.

6. what is output hardware?
= The parts of the computer used to show the result after processing is called output hardware.
for example speaker, plotter, monitor, printer, etc.

7. why the monitor is called soft-copy output hardware?
= The monitor is called soft-copy output hardware because the output displayed by the monitor is changeable.

8. why the printer is called hard copy output hardware?
= the printer is called hard-copy output hardware because the output given by the printer is not changeable.

9.what is a monitor? write the types of monitors?
= A monitor is an output device that is used to display the result for the user. There are 3 types of the monitor and they are
a. CRT monitor
b. LCD monitor
c. LED monitor

10. differentiate between CRT and LCD monitors.

= 



11. what is the printer? write the types of printers?
=A printer is an output device that is used to print output on paper. There are 3 types of printers and they are
a. dot matrix printer
b. inkjet printer 
c. laser printer.









12.what is the storage hardware?
= storage hardware is the parts of the computer system which is used to store data and information.
for example hard disk, pen drive, CD, DVD, floppy disk, memory card, etc.

= There are 2 types of computer software. They are
1. System software
2. Application software

15. What is system software?
= System software is computer software designed to manage and control computer hardware and to provide a platform for running application software.
for examples Windows XP, Windows 95, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Windows 11, Android, IOS, LINUX, Ubuntu, etc.

16. What is application software?
= Application software is computer software designed to perform specific tasks for the user.
for example, YouTube, google chrome, TikTok, messenger, Facebook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word Pad, MS-paint, google classroom, etc

17. Differentiate between system software and application software.
